Payment & Billing Policy

This Policy governs all payments made for Plans, Vision AI Credits, and other paid offerings on the Platform, and forms part of the Terms of Service.

SchoolExl currently accepts UPI, RuPay, Visa, Mastercard, and Net Banking, and may accept EMI or other methods introduced from time to time. SchoolExl may add or discontinue payment methods without prior notice.

All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and displayed inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. The price shown at checkout prevails over any earlier marketing communication. As of this draft, current Plan pricing is: EXL ₹365/year (list ₹1,000); EXL Scholar ₹5,000/year (list ₹10,000); EXL Topper ₹15,000/year (list ₹30,000). Vision AI Video Tutor is included at 60 minutes/day on EXL Topper only; on all Plans, additional Vision AI usage beyond any included daily allowance is billed as Vision AI Credits at ₹1 per additional day of usage. SchoolExl may revise pricing prospectively; a price revision does not affect a Plan already purchased unless expressly stated.

Prices are inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. Where required by law, SchoolExl issues a valid tax invoice, and Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing details needed for tax compliance.

By submitting payment information, the Customer authorizes SchoolExl and its payment partners to charge the applicable amount. Payments are subject to verification by the relevant financial institution. SchoolExl is not liable for payment failures caused by insufficient balance, bank restrictions, gateway errors, network failures, expired cards, incorrect details, or fraud-prevention measures applied by financial institutions.

Plan fees are payable in advance. Access begins only after successful payment confirmation and commences from the activation date shown in the Customer's Account. Plans do not auto-renew (see Section A.9); no charge occurs without an affirmative renewal action by the Customer.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, only one promotional offer may be applied per transaction, offers cannot be exchanged for cash, and unused promotional benefits expire automatically at the end of their stated validity period. SchoolExl may withdraw or modify promotional campaigns at any time.

If a payment fails, access to the paid Service will not be activated and the pending transaction may be cancelled automatically; the Customer may retry with another payment method. SchoolExl is not responsible for delays caused by banks, UPI providers, or payment gateways.

Upon successful payment, SchoolExl provides payment confirmation, an invoice or receipt, and Plan activation details, which Customers should retain for their records.

Refund eligibility is governed exclusively by Part E, Cancellation & Refund Policy. Approved refunds are ordinarily initiated within ten (10) Business Days of approval and credited to the original payment method; actual credit timelines depend on the Customer's bank, card issuer, UPI provider, or payment gateway.

Customers are encouraged to contact SchoolExl before initiating a chargeback. Where a chargeback is raised without valid basis, SchoolExl may suspend access, investigate the transaction, recover outstanding dues where legally permissible, or restrict future purchases in confirmed cases of fraud, without limiting any statutory consumer right. Customers who believe an incorrect amount was charged should notify SchoolExl within seven (7) days of the transaction so it can be investigated and corrected.

SchoolExl may verify payment information, request identity verification, delay activation pending fraud review, cancel suspicious transactions, or refuse unauthorized or unlawful transactions. SchoolExl does not store complete card, CVV, or UPI PIN information; processing is handled by secure third-party providers meeting applicable industry security standards.

Temporary payment disruptions may occur due to scheduled maintenance, gateway outages, banking network issues, connectivity failures, or force majeure events; SchoolExl will use commercially reasonable efforts to restore normal functionality. SchoolExl may amend this Policy from time to time; material changes apply prospectively and are communicated through the Platform where required.
